Prehistoric Sites
Ireland has one of the most impressive collections of
prehistoric sites in Europe. In some places you are just
like in the middle of an incredible open air
archaeological museum like on the Dingle Peninsula. Ring
forts are especially appealing to me coming from Asturias
in the north of Spain with a celtic culture. These ring
forts are so fascinating as they bring you 2,000 years
back in time. By the way there are more than 40,000 of
them in Ireland! Have a look at some examples in this
gallery.
